Hi! I'm Rachel,
I am a Duke Certified Health and Well-Being Coach with a passion for helping women prioritize their health and well-being. My fascination with behavioral sciences, my background in psychology, and the breakthroughs that I have experienced firsthand are what inspired my career in health coaching.
I help women incrementally achieve their health and wellness goals to encourage positive forward movement in their lives. Health coaching is a novel, emerging field that has been proven to have a profound effect on people's health outcomes. My health coaching approach is evidence-based, empathetic, supportive, non-judgmental, and empowering to women who want to become the healthiest version of themselves.
Our health and wellness involves a whole-person approach - mind, body, and soul. Let me be your partner on your path to a healthier and happier you. Since infancy, I have faced multiple health challenges and diseases, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Breast Cancer, Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency, Chronic Infections, Hemorrhagic Cystitis, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, and Hypertension, just to name a few. My health conditions have and still do significantly impact my quality of life. However, through exceptional medical care and my health coaching experience, my health and quality of life are at a place that I never imagined possible. My mindset and perspective transformed into trusting a holistic, whole-person approach - mind, body, and soul- to health.
For years, Rachel believed that the traditional medical model was the only path to better health. She couldn't have been more mistaken! The real breakthrough came when she experienced health coaching firsthand. The small, manageable changes introduced through coaching led to incredible transformations she never thought possible.
Rachel was at a stage where she felt that conventional healthcare wasn't enough for her. Her medical providers suggested a healthy lifestyle but it felt unattainable to her. Health coaching is what truly encouraged Rachel to increase her movement, even when she felt weak and was in pain. Before long, she found herself buying a watch to measure her daily steps. Soon, her 10,000 steps a day turned into regular exercise and weekly Physical Therapy.
The benefits didn’t stop there. Mindfulness practices helped Rachel relax, improve her sleep hygiene, and, as a result, reduce her pain and fatigue. She learned to listen to her body and let it guide her. By committing to reducing stress, increasing movement, and making healthier choices, Rachel significantly enhanced her quality of life, becoming a healthier version of herself she once thought impossible. Rachel is a believer in integrative health and has experienced its benefits.
Rachel is a passionate advocate for health coaching, having personally experienced its profound benefits. She firmly believes in the immense power we all possess to improve our health and well-being.
